Rebekah Kaufman is a third-generation Steiff enthusiast. Her collection numbers north of 2,000 and focuses on examples from 1905 to 1944, uncatalogued rarities, novelties, cloth dolls, and display animals. Through 2017, she was Steiff’s North American archivist, where she identified and valued vintage items on behalf of the company.
Rebekah is a contributor to DOLLS, Doll News, The Steiff Club Magazine, Teddy Bear Times & Friends, Worthpoint, and Auction Daily. She has been invited to judge the Teddy Bear of The Year Awards as well as to present at venues including the London International Antique Doll, Teddy Bear, and Toy Fair, Hugglets, the United Federation of Doll Clubs’ national convention, the Doll Collectors of America annual meeting, the Virtual Doll Convention, and The Ohio National Doll Show. Rebekah has been a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs since 2012 and a graduate of the organisation’s Student/Apprentice Judge program. She is the President of UFDC’s Doll Study Club of Boston and a member of the board of Doll Collectors of America.
